What is Abused Women And Children?
Abused Women And Children is a humanitarian relief 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization, founded in October 2010, dedicated to working with abused families, their communities, and changing the world by releasing abused victims from domestic violence.
Our organization aims to work through local and worldwide agencies to prevent teen pregnancy and abused mothers and to provide development programs to deliver them from domestic abuse, child trafficking, rape, emotional abuse, sexual harassment, physical, social and spiritual abuse.
What is the purpose of Abused Women and Children?
The mission of Abused Women and Children is to serve as an advocate for abused families, to stabilize domestic violence victims, to aid street kids by releasing them from economic, social and physical poverty.
How did Abused Women and Children start?
Edith A. Williams, Founded Abused Women and Children Inc. in October, 2010. Abused Women and Children, was born after Edith and her husband Davis A. Williams visited Ghana, West Africa: the Western Region, Volta Region, and the Northern Region.
After seeing so much suffering from teen pregnancy, child abuse, child trafficking and abused mothers, they began to wonder how they can help these abused families through educational training, counselling, and short term housing to support the abused victims.
They felt convicted to help out in a basic but unique way, beyond sending their contributions to various charities around the world. Returning to Los Angeles, California, Edith and Davis compared the abundance of many different awareness programs for the abused victims in America, and how blessed America is. From that idea; Abused Women And Children Inc. was born.
How does Abused Women and Children Work?
Abused Women and Children works one-to-one with teens and the elderly. Through your recurring donations, teens and abused mothers are able to participate in a humanitarian relief local-based program that offers life-changing benefits, and immediate necessities such as hygiene products, food, medical needs, clothing, shoes, shelter, games, and educational materials, Abused Women and Children, provides settings such as Educational Training, Catering, Tailoring, Computer training, Gardening or clubs so they can learn how to be on their feet, as well as find shelter, vocational development, counseling, and health services.
Where does Abused Women and Children Works?
We currently serve the abused victims through twelve sponsorship projects in Asia, Philippines, and India. Africa, Ghana, Liberia, Senegal, Tanzania, and Kenya. West Indies, Jamaica. Central America, Nicaragua. South America, Brazil. North America, Dominican Republic and U.S.A.
How does Abused Women And Children Choose which Countries to work in?
Abused Women And Children follows an in-depth process of investigation and research for selecting a local Agency, to oversee their efforts.
Is Abused Women And Children involved in Foreign adoptions?
Abused Women and Children’s domestic abuse program relief provides assistance to abused families in their own countries and does not include any other form of assistance or child adoptions.
Does Abused Families and teen friends have to belong to a Faith-Based Organization before receiving help from Abused Women and Children Inc.?
No. Abused Families and teen friends from all religions and from all denominations, regardless of their faith and beliefs are welcome to participate in Abused Women and Children Inc. projects. The ideal mission of Abused Women and Children Inc. is to assist every teen and the abused mothers in healing from physical and emotional abuse.
Abused Women and Children extends assistance to all races, regardless of their beliefs, gender, race, or ethnic background.
Abused Women and Children is grounded in serving the abused families. Our main focus as an organization is to work with multi cultures around the globe.

What We Do?
In every community where abused families lives Abused Women and Children’s U.S. Programs help these communities through local agencies, corporations, organizations, schools, shelters, churches, business owners and families, as they transform their neighborhoods, through partnership with other domestic violence relief organizations and businesses across the United States.
We are open to accommodate request from students on their academic school research projects.
